What is peel and stick wallpaper?

Peel and stick wallpaper is a self-adhesive wallcovering that goes up without paste and comes off without steam or solvent. It suits rented rooms, rooms you are not sure about yet, and anyone who would rather not commit a weekend to hanging paper. Our peel and stick patterns are the same designs Jonathan French draws for our traditional papers, adapted for the format, drawn in Rhode Island and printed in Pennsylvania.

Does it damage walls? On sound, fully cured paint it lifts away cleanly. Fresh paint, textured surfaces, and older distempered walls are where problems start, so test a small piece first and leave it a few days.

How long does it last? Longer than most people expect in a bedroom or hallway, less in a bathroom or a kitchen where steam and heat work against the adhesive. For those rooms, traditional paper is the better answer.

Choosing. Read the room's light before you decide on a colorway. Order a sample from any pattern page and put it on the actual wall for a day, since peel and stick reads differently under artificial light than traditional paper does.
